See Young Hollywood is important.

From E!Online:

Did Pattinson and Efron Really Save the Oscars? Fans of Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet, among others, say, "Are you outta your mind?" The numbers, however, suggest the two tween gods sure didn't hurt. The show's ratings among teens 12-17 and kids 2-11 zoomed, up 25 percent and 33 percent, respectively, from last year, ABC said, citing Nielsen stats.

Of course they don't mention the 18+ demos, but I'd not be surprised to see upswing there too do to the heartthrobs.

I think that anyone who thinks Hollywood can just go along bringing the same old, same old plots mixed with busted ass faces like Tom Cruise is realizing that I, along with apparently hundreds of thousands of others, do not give a fuck about those movies.

We want fresh stories meant for us and along with that we need fresh hot new faces. And Zef, Shia, Franco (and fine, whatever, rpattzy too) are it. And you know what, we don't even have to choose between them.

Rpattzy is, well I don't know what he is yet, but Franco is versatile comedy/sexy/drama hotness, Shia is rough and tumble handsome bad boy and Zefron is bringing the retro cool elegance back. Swear to God, there is not a word invented yet to describe how classy zefron is.

To the people who say rpattzy and Zefron don't belong at the Oscars: you may be right, but not for the reasons you think. You think it is because they are untalented but that is false... they are talented. The real and bigger problem at play here is that we haven't given them a chance to belong yet. So tally ho, Hollywood, make it happen or suffer the consequences.

/rant and step off soap box (lol).

ETA: New Line/WB... now would be a good time to take up the torch for 17 Again promo. Zefron's Oscar appearance has provided a nice boost so run with it! Besides I'm tired of all the stupid Hannah Montana promo, I need Zef pretties instead.
