More Dirty Grandpa & first box office

Unfortunately, the snowstorm impacted the box office noticeably as many theaters on the East Coast had to close. It's a pity it had to happen this weekend but on the upside it looks like it will still gross more than $10m this weekend which isn't great but not a disaster.

I was not expecting DG to be a hit so I am glad there was no have a big promotional tour. I would rather have press junkets and premieres for Neighbors 2 and Mike & Dave than DG.

Well, yes, I'm sad. DG has settled into fourth place for the weekend. On the brighter side, it scored Number One among new releases. So this is not a box office embarrassment like WAYF.

I don't count the blizzard for much. While it depressed DG's earnings, it affected all other movies in equal proportion, so the rankings remain the same. $11 million isn't bad when Number One, The Revenant, only pulled $16 million.

I wasn't expecting much either but they could have done at least a few phone interviews and a small premiere. Just something to cover other bases than just TV.

On the upside... it spared Zac having to fake how great the movie is in a bazillion interviews.
