Amazing... hardly any sightings all week (because they were filming inside) but the second he steps outside, we get multiple sightings and pics.

I'm curious to see if they can manage to pass Honolulu believably off as New York in the final film. Sure, there is a NYC cab etc but the rest doesn't look that much like NYC in these pics imo. But w/e... it's not a big deal and I'm sure they apply some VFX magic if they need to.

The first question should be: Why do they need to fake NYC with Honolulu? Why not set the story where they are filming the movie? I mean, what in the story requires the setting to be NYC? The movie Wall Street, yes; the movie Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates, no. People need wedding dates in Honolulu too.

Because it's a destination wedding which is part of the plot. So technically, it could have been a different mainland city but not Honolulu. Plus, it's based 2 real brothers which happen to be from NY.

Can you blame people for hunting him like an endangered species? Is it right? No. Is it what any normal, rational, person with a working sex drive would do? Probably. (-;

No way Honolulu passes as New York. Toronto and Atlanta can't pass New York even though studios keep trying. The street lights are too old and the buildings are too non-descriptive. A taxi and a random homeless man with cart doesn't make it downtown New York.

Don't forget the hot dog cart they seemingly put in there too. LOL

I like Zac's hat. He>I. Nice. I looked up the company and will probably order something from them when I get some funds (student financial aid, wink, wink.)

I came across a French movie - Eden - the other day that resembles We Are Your Friends. Do you know if that movie inspired Max or no?

Anyway, he looks good, albeit tired.

It amazes me how quiiet things have been on the pap/picture front for this shoot. I'm sure it's a welcome relief for Zac. He looks good! But, once again I'm reminded of the entitlement of people when he's filming on location. I've seen some things on Instagram: "Adam is so much nicer than him, he leaves right after filming and is nowhere to be found, he's rude." They apparently didn't get the memo that he's there to do a job, not cater to their every whim. I wouldn't be too happy either, let's be real, but I'd personally rather interact/get a pic with him when he WANTS to stop, not when he feels forced and may not be in the best mood.

*hops off soapbox*

Part of it is simply the passage of time. Zac is older and more weary of fame. Also, as discussed here recently, he no longer needs to cultivate his old, teen-centered fan base because he doesn't need it anymore (in fact, by maintaining his "teen idol" rep, it could be a drag on his career). And, with the passing years, he has learned how to protect his personal time by dodging fan encounters. I'm sure that he would be polite and accommodating when cornered, but I imagine that he is just very tired of all the fan crap he used to accept.

A lot of filming took place on private property and at night which explains why there are not more pap pics (well, and fan pics either). Eg. Kualoa Ranch where they filmed for quite some time, is private property and paps can't just take pics there. And most of the filming in and around Honolulu is inside or not accessible. Although the paps seem to be figuring out right now that they can get him sometimes in between and there are a few scenes outside.

I'm sure Zac is happy that filming went smoothly (after a first few hectic days) and he got mostly left alone. Unfortunately the entitled idiots will always be there.

Aha! So that's how you can make Honolulu pass for NYC -- shoot in the dark or indoors.
