First Day on 'We Are Your Friends'

1, 2

Also casting for James (finally!), from Deadline:
EXCLUSIVE: Wes Bentley is joining Zac Efron in drama We Are Your Friends, the story of a troubled aspiring DJ named Cole who finds his place in the world of electronic dance music. Bentley, who’s been racking up credits since appearing in Summit’s hit The Hunger Games, will play James, a wealthy, binge-drinking DJ who takes Cole under his wing and mentors him to success in the world of EDM. In July “Blurred Lines” model-actress Emily Ratajkowski landed the role of Sophie, James’ much-younger girlfriend who Cole falls for.

Catfish‘s Max Joseph is making his directing debut and scripted with Meaghan Oppenheimer from a story by Richard Silverman. Filming starts today in the San Fernando Valley. Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing and Silverman is exec producer. Studio Canal is financing and repping domestic rights.

Bentley is set to appear on FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show this fall and has roles in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and Terrence Malick’s Knight Of Cups. He also stars in Welcome To Me from Bron Studios and Gary Sanchez Productions, Tyler Shields’ horror flick Final Girl, and psychological thriller Broken Vows. He’s repped by WME and Untitled Entertainment.

I think he's a good actor. Right now unfortunately he doesn't attract much attention (e.g. how many sites rushed to write up his casting? not many...) but maybe hopefully Interstellar will elevate him which then helps this movie.

I don't know why more websites are not reporting Wes Bentley's casting. He successfully has revived his career after being cast in some huge films like The Hunger Games and upcoming Interstellar. I'm happy about him joining on this movie.

A bigger question is why this Bentley guy is getting so many more jobs than Zac Efron; he's scheduled for three or four future flicks while Zac is scheduled for zero.

Sometimes, I think Zac is too pretty for his own career. Because of his looks, he can only play leading men. He just wouldn't be very convincing as someone's sidekick. So Jonah Hill picks up all the parts in big movies while Zac sits at home and plays with himself.

Zac's young age and youthfulness limit the roles he can take. His Disney past makes the situation much worse, too. Time will help. All Zac has to do is keep working and growing as an actor. He'll get much more opportunities when he's older.

is that levitation in 14 and 15? it's hard to tell

Wet T-shirt, levitation, and showing some leg! Looks like they are using all of Zac's talents in this one.

Run Forest, Run!

I love me some sweaty Zac, but them socks...

And this is why I want to know what genre. Nothing is ever simple in the world of electronic music. The FTampa remix is my fav:

I love you, Zac but the shoes and socks need to go. Then again, it's probably a decision of the wardrobe people. I'm just gonna go with that.
