That was the gayest non-gay thing I've ever seen. For a minute I heard "The Wings" Brokeback Mountain song - and not even the regular version, the Tony Moran, Manny Lehman, Warren Rigg I'm-at-the-circuit-party-dancing-shirtless-or-is-this-the-start-of-a-gay-porn-movie collaboration. Then Zac stuck out his tongue as a sign of his virility and sexual prowess, they separated and it was over.

Neighbors worldwide total gross is now at $ 254.4 M. It has officially become Zac's biggest success both domestic and worldwide. Looks like it may not reach 150 M in the US though. I don't understand why Universal won't push it before it leaves the theaters. I thought they would add more theaters to make it pass the 150 mark.

But the answer: too many summer blockbusters crowding in, and you don't want to spend more millions on marketing when Neighbors is only earning about a few hundred dollars per screen per day. Also, Universal has newer releases they need to flog, and they don't want to be competing with themselves.

Zac's Career
This is a huge boost to Zac's career! To have a hit like this should open a lot of doors for him. However, if there is a sequel with him in it, I may explode. I don't think I can take another shit fest like Neighbors, and I may stop being a fan if it comes to fruition. I hope he gets good offers as a result of Neighbors' success. I'm particularly hoping an action movie is in his future. But this Bear Grylls show will definitely tide me over.

One week to go. By the way, don't accept everything you see in this program at face value. They're in the wilderness, sure, but accompanied by a film crew and lord knows what else. I suspect there are additional safety features we can't see on camera, etc.

Also, I know why they "committed" to repelling down that cliff after flinging their packs into the water. One of those packs contains their only role of toilet paper.

Third comment: Zac's on the cover of People magazine again (horseback riding). Those editors love their Zac.
