Article Excerpts

From NextMovie.com:
"I didn't want him for the movie," he told NextMovie exclusively from the set of his upcoming movie, "The Butler." "I just thought he was corny."

But then, the "High School Musical" alum proceeded to what Daniels hadn't thought possible: impress him.
"He auditioned and he was great," Daniels said. "He gave me his soul and I was like, 'Wow.'"

From Vulture:
Who was more nervous about the peeing-on-the-beach scene, Nicole, Zac, or you?

None of us! No, no, none of us. We just went for it and never thought twice about it, because it made sense for the film. It was what it was. I think that I became more nervous about it in the edit room, and I thought, I'm not actually going to show this, right? Is it vulgar? And I called Nicole and said, "I don't know," and she said, "Lee, you made me pee on Zac Efron. If you don't put it in the movie, you need to man up." And I was like, "All right, I ain't gonna pussy out! Okay."

But then later, you start up a romantic sex scene later in the movie with Nicole and Zac, and then Macy Gray says in the narration, "I think we've seen enough of that," and the movie cuts away. I have to say that I did not see enough of that sex scene.

I was nervous at that point! I did check out. I always do all the tough and physical scenes up front in my films, but I had forgotten about that scene because everything else was so hard-core, you know? This was a love scene and soft, but by that point, I'd become very protective of my actors. We'd become intimate friends, and I could tell them to get raw and raunchy when I didn't know them as well, but as we grew to become like a family, it was awkward for me to watch [the sex scene]. I felt like Nicole had given me everything — she'd spread her legs, she'd fuckin' peed on Zac — and I know they would have went for it, but I felt like she had done enough for me. It would have been pushing things too much.

From NY Post
Efron’s character has a brief fling with the much-older Kidman.

“You could see that Zac was nervous about working with Nicole. During the sex scene, was that awkward? Yes. It was the most awkward scene for me to shoot. I had forgotten about that scene, because it was mild compared to some of the other scenes. I wasn’t psychologically ready to deal with them making love and the awkwardness of it all. I cut the scene short. I said, ‘You guys don’t have to do this. Let’s just begin it and then cut.’ So the narrator, Macy Gray, speaks for me, ‘I guess y’all seen enough about this.’ ”

Are We Officially Dating?

Some AWOD casting news from Variety
With three movies in the can and another in pre-production, "Rabbit Hole" star Miles Teller is one of the busiest young actors in Hollywood and there's no break in sight this year, as he's set to join Zac Efron in the indie "Are We Officially Dating?"

…Teller will play Efron's friend and co-worker who like the protag, is determined to remain single and sexually active without having to make a commitment.

Liberal Arts

List of theaters for UK release is also on that Facebook, here.

And Amazon has the DVD and Blu-Ray available for pre-order here. They say the release date is December 18th.

Also, I'm working on a Penshoppe post for tomorrow :)

The TV ad/new clip actually look good. Probably just me though. And that third still looks Jack and Ward are getting ready to attack well that's how Jack looks.

Miles Teller can definitely stay. Project X and an Oscar nominated movie already under his belt? Very open to that casting with Zac in that movie.

And that's not even the funniest/best part of his in the Liberal Arts gifs.

I'm so excited to see The Paperboy next month. On the other hand, I'm scared of how people here will react to this movie. lol

Zac's co-star in Are We Officially Dating seems to be a very promising young actor. I'm pleased. Now I wonder who will play his love interest?

By the way, I realized it'll be Zac's first romantic comedy. New Year's Eve doesn't count because he was in it only for about ten minutes, and that was including the dance sequence during the end credits.

Yesterday I found the information that "The Paperboy" will be seen in Moscow on October 10. in the American Film Festival. I told this to my friend from Moscow, and she's going to see it. But in general, the film will be released in Russia as well as in Korea, November 1.
