Zac out and about

Not posting the eating ones cause that is veering towards stalkerazzi since I can't tell if the photog went inside or not. And no, per a source and contrary to a rumor that is apparently floating around twitter, they aren't looking for a house for Dylan…

Oh, I meant the fact that he snagged a lead in Cosmopolis brought him a lot of projects even before the movie premiered in Cannes. The movie itself didn't really get great reviews after all, but the hype was enough for him to land more serious roles. He really lucked out with Cosmopolis.

Oh, that I agree with - that Cosmopolis brought Rob some respect even before it came out. Which makes you wonder why Zac couldn't leverage his work with Lee Daniels & Ramin Bahrani at least into one other indie filming earlier this year; they might not be Cronenberg but esp Bahrani was a real get for Zac too.

I think that's because Zac didn't get attention as much as Rob. He was overshadowed by Nicole Kidman in The Paperboy. Even before the movie was screened, "oversexed barbie doll Kidman" was what most people were curious about regarding the movie. And Bahrani is still new to most people, so At Any Price won't bring Zac much attention unless the movie itself turns out great. It seems everything is about buzz and hype in Hollywood. Actual outcome doesn't matter as long as one gets attention.

While I agree that a lot is about buzz and hype (which is why I'm so frustrated of them not taking advantage of Zac's BO buzz), I think in terms of casting Bahrani should be really a help. He might not be known to moviegoers but he should have a lot of respect amongst producers, directors and casting directors.

Oh, btw... do I remember correctly that you're from South Korea? In that case I might have a distributor for At Any Price for you...

OMG Yes, I'm from South Korea, and we don't get most of Zac movies in theaters even though we get most of big budget movie before America does. Does AAP really have a distributor here? YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it does.

The South Korean distributor is Fine Pictures. I don't have more than that though, so you need to google all the details yourself, esp since I doubt they are available in English.

I just searched Fine("Hwain") Pictures, and they bought rights for Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy, Sleeping Beauty(the Emily Browning movie), Le Concert, 21 Grams in the past. Their trackrecord is not consistent, but it's very encouraging that they bought rights for AAP before it was screened for public at Venice.

Thank you for letting me know about it getting picked up by a Korean company. The only Zac movies that got theatrical release here are Hairspray, HSM3, and surprisingly Charlie St. Cloud. NYE and TLO went (and is going) straight to DVD here. I didn't expect to see At Any Price at cinema at all. So excited!!!
