Watching "Smash" and they just played one of TLO TV spots. It was REALLY quick, and if I'm not mistaken, the music was different.

On a "I'm an idiot" note, I was at Barnes and Noble over the weekend, and there were new copies of TLO with the Zac and Taylor photo. I already have the damn blue cover book, a Kindle version, and an Audible version. And now, the Zac/Taylor version. I am such a schmuck.

Oh yeah, I went to see Hunger Games over the weekend also, and on the wall in the hallway of the various theaters was a HUGE copy of TLO poster. Must have been over 6' wide, and it was only attached by a few, maybe 8-10, little push pins. Oh the temptation to reach up and tug........

maybe you can have the poster when they are done with it, lol.

the tv spot might have been the one with florence and the machine? this one.

Pretty sure I don't have a wall big enough for it. I don't think it was paper, so perhaps I could use it for a blanket or something. I could sit on Zac's face. Wonder if my husband would mind.

Not sure if that was the spot or not. It was pretty much over by the time I realized it was on.

I had a life-size Legolas cut out once. I set it up by the door so if any criminals broke in, he'd be waiting for them.

So what you need, Lily, is a life-size Zac cut out, although I doubt he'd be a good as a criminal deterrent.

Now that I think about it, that poster was way bigger than 6' wide. Sometimes I am challenged when guessing sizes of things.

I'm still disappointed that they didn't give him some really tacky sailor tattoo of a naked woman or similar, so I would have something to laugh about.

Srsly though people need to simmer down. It's getting to be a little too over the top.

Sorry. See what a pic of Zac in bed can do to a bunch of normally intelligent people?

I like that sailor tat quite a lot. :) So many lolz! :D

I was disappointed when the picture finally loaded, it didn't show Zac prostrate on the bed in only his underwear. For a split second I really thought that's what I was gonna see.

No matter how hard I try, this will never not be attractive to me.

I love love love tattoos. Tattoos and Zac...just kill me now. Seriously. I love the saying too. </p>

If only he'd actually get something deep like that inked instead of acronyms on his hand lol.

Note: I'm joking (kinda).

This is way off topic, but I just thought I'd mention how a bunch of guys I know at school said they liked the movie Charlie St. Cloud without me even bringing it up. It's not TLO related, I just thought I'd share that. (:
lilly4848lilly4848 on March 27th, 2012 04:49 pm (UTC)
Did they by any chance express an opinion on the upcoming TLO?

I'm not a guy, but I liked CSC also, as far as Zac's acting. I did NOT like what the screenwriters did to the story. They changed too many crucial things from the book. That's one reason that I'm hopeful for TLO, because Sparks seemed to be more involved.

More guys at my school said they would like to see TLO. I just thought it was interesting that some guys mentioned they liked CSC without having been forced to talk about it.

Nicholas Sparks seemed very involved in the filming process. I don't think TLO is going to stray too far from the book. Yeah, there are going to be some changes like with everything, but I would think the crucial parts of the book will be in the movie.

I assume they saw CStC on cable or DVD; if they saw it in a theater, that *would* be interesting.

This does relate to TLO because it addresses the issue of Z's male audience. Going to a theater requires an effort and expense. Lot's of people have now seen M&OW and CStC on cable/DVD than ever saw them in theaters. This builds audience awareness of The Zeffer and thus might entice some young males to see TLO in theaters when they would otherwise have given it a pass.

They did see it on cable, and 1 out of 4 of them bought the DVD afterwards.

How does one find out when and where there will be early screenings?
what in the worldpolly_amore11 on March 28th, 2012 01:24 pm (UTC)
I would like to know that, too. I signed up for Fandango emails for notification when tix go on sale for TLO, hoping that would let me know if there were early screenings.
hunny miss (aka lets fead him to the gators)ehs_wildcats on March 28th, 2012 06:45 pm (UTC)
usually the best way to find them is just to search twitter or google for like 'the lucky one screening', 'lucky one advance screening', or 'lucky one tickets' or something. there is also a site called gofobo.com which lists advanced screenings but not all of those are open to anyone. some of them you have to have invite codes from other sites.
lilly4848lilly4848 on March 29th, 2012 02:25 am (UTC)
OMG! I found TWO in my area, but they are both private screenings. I don't know how to get the invite code. It seems that it's possible that some radio stations may be giving out tickets, but I do not know which ones are doing it. I have a really good friend who is the morning guy on a local station. I'm gonna call him first thing in the morning and see if he knows anything. I'm seeing him tomorrow night too. I am dying. The screenings are on the 12th and the 17th. OMG!
