New Stills from TLO

source

Ugh. I'm pleased by people seemingly enjoying the trailer in front of The Vow. But I'm still super anxious about Titanic crushing TLO. On top of how well other 3D re-releases have been doing, comments from the sneak peek last night indicate Titanic is going to be stunning both in quality and in profit (again). I don't want to be Rose, crying over TLO's Jack sinking dead into the icy depths of the box office.

Will Titanic be that big of a success? I just realized it comes out 12 days after The Hunger Games. Maybe it will be somewhat affected by THG and won't be that big? God, I feel so bad for wishing a movie not to do well, but really hope it doesn't affect TLO much..

Don't feel bad. Titanic had it's day of glory already. It shouldn't be allowed to have another one, especially at the expense of TLO. ;)

Well, lets just say that the one site which does long term forecasts, has Titanic opening at $42m right now. And Cameron's movies often don't drop like a stone in the consequent weeks either.

Idk, I surely hope that Titanic isn't as big a threat as it looks right now. My problem is that it attracts a lot of the same demographic as TLO and I fear that the moviegoers who only go every once in a while will go to Titanic instead since it's opening only 2 weeks before.

And only 14 countries, it are not enough. In my country TLO will not show. But "The Vow" it is possible to look at cinemas....
Bad marketing...

I don't think this is a final list though. I believe kinopoisk.ru just uses mostly the international IMDb dates (plus Russia if they have additional info there) and those get often updated late or even in hindsight. Plus, it might open in some international territories much later than the US and do not even have a date there yet.

Having said that, straight romantic dramas incl Sparks movies typically don't do that well internationally. Even The Notebook and Dear John which are the highest grossing Sparks movies made only between $34 - $35 million internationally.

Yes it is. And updatings in the list happen, but very very slowly...
