The Access Hollywood interview doesn't work on my computer. :-( It says "The video stream is currently unavailable". Maybe it doesn't work outside of the US?

Watching the 'Generic' interview right now.. he looks really happy and seems to be in a great mood!

you might try refreshing. when i reopened this page to respond to you and hit play i got that error but i refreshed the page and it was okay. maybe it was a temporary hiccup?

Still doesn't work, but thanks! I'll try again later.

His new blond hair looked just fine in motion. I'm relieved that his hair in The Paperboy will look OK on screen.

His I want an Academy Awards comment reminded me of Leonardo DiCaprio. I could picture Leo saying something like that. And Zac's hair looks good.

LOL at Zac having a crush on his first babysitter.

"LOL at Zac having a crush on his first babysitter"

Haha, now we know how far back his attraction to older women stretches.

I'm fascinated with how bashful he is, after years of experience doing interviews. Then there's all the nose-touching, hair-fingering, arm-rubbing, and ankle grabbing. This guy just can't sit still.

Me too...it's hard to believe he's so shy.

His movement might be be due to nerves, but it might also be the way he keeps the audience's attention. I know Heath Ledger was always running his hand through his hair, touching his nose, massaging his elbow, etc. Whether this was his way of dealing with his nerves or to keep the audience interested, I don't know. I've noticed Zac has the same mannerisms as Heath in interviews.

I'm still getting over the fact he even remembered her name. Must have been a pretty special girl.

His hair reminds me of how it looked in Charlie St. Cloud

I love hearing him say my name!

~Music to my ears~

So much of the same question- I'd literally be like 'Girl, I just answered that question!', space out, miss the intent- AND THAT'S WHY I'M NOBODY'S ACTOR!

IA! when he was doing the NYE promo even I was sick of listening to the same questions over & over & over & over, I can't imagine having to continue to be nice throughout the whole promo tour

It's crazy how even in a single interview a journalist will oftentimes ask different variations of the same question. Round and round they go!
kleth on February 8th, 2012 03:01 pm (UTC)
Actually, if this were a serious interview (or a police interogation), asking variations of the same question would be good technique. However, I don't think that was the conscious intent here.

Haha! Some of these journalists could have a GREAT career in police force duty and they don't even know it. At least there's a fallback! ;)

It's the nature of the beast. Each of these little interviews has to start from scratch (the movie being promoted provides a connection), since the interviewer can't assume that viewers/readers know anything much about the interviewee. So we get the same basic, unimaginative questions in each interview. Plus, the interviewer can't afford to spend a week on research before one of these throw-away junket interviews, so the interviewer spends a half-hour poking around the Web and goes for it. No interview with just half a dozen questions is going to open new territory. That's why the long magazine interviews are so superior; the interviewer can spend some time on research and then spend some real time with Zac. The interviewer can get beyond preliminaries and actually explore a few lines of inquiry.

We probably have to send you to rehab by the end of this promo tour bc you will go overdosed on his Audrey mentions by then.

YES! Each time is like the first and I get this incredibly silly grin on my face. :)

That Universal Generic interview...wow, that was a little painful to listen to.
Beejeezbee on February 8th, 2012 04:46 pm (UTC)
The generic Universal interviews with all the cast members are pretty bad. No idea why but the interviewer was just not able to get anything good out of any of them.

The AH interview is better than I expected.
