From Lexi, again:

Okay so... people want to talk about his face. I've never been as keyed up over changes in his face as other people have. And generally I don't even feel it is worth mentioning until we get to January-February 2011 levels of roundness, when his temples take over his eyes. But I do think there is something to be said when it might affect continuity and it might in this case. I still don't think it is as bad as some people do though.

Here is a chart for comparison...

The last one is worst. Though he also looks like ET with his neck retracted, so idek what is going on there.

But even in the one before, it is rounder, enough so that might affect the project. And that is kind of what bothers me. Like I think he should have, but even if he didn't realize or didn't think (cause sometimes we don't) that his face was changing... someone else around him, like his assistant or manager or someone, should've said something.

IDK why it changed, it doesn't take much even. He eats out a lot and and he drinks like most guys his age do. But it is worth noting that while I think he was being excessive at the beginning of the year and it really showed, recently he's a lot less Hollywood club mildew and really much more like normal young 20-something dude. This is especially true when he's been at work and out of LA the past few months -- he ate out regularly and went out for fun once a weekend. That said, bro you are almost 24, think about these things. Everyone knows his face is what changes first and most.

I'll be sad for him if it does affect how people perceive his success in this role. It is an exciting project and he needs all the cred he can get. And I'm sure Bahrani is under pressure since this is his first project with major stars, so he has a lot at stake too. If Zac loses points, either with critics, the public, or the director, on something so easily preventable, shame on him and shame on the people around him who are supposed to be looking out for him, his projects, his reputation, and his million-dollar face.

i like your charts! I noticed in the LA pics that came up a few weeks ago it looked different but the pictures that have come up over the weekend, I don't see TOO much of a difference unless I REALLY stare

i really don't think there is *that* much of a difference either, but i do see it and it may be enough that it is noticeable and it would be a shame if it causes problems since it is easily preventable. and it has been brought up so i just addressed it. oh well :/

I'm a little doubtful. I wasn't immediately struck by any dramatic face inflation. It may be there, but as an experienced photographer, I would want to see two photos taken with the same lighting, same angle, same distance, same focal length lens. "How fat is his face?" This is like the endless debate over "How tall is he?" A lot of the controversy is based on comparing photos, which are always taken at different angles, from different distances, and with different lighting. Photos taken under variable conditions simply aren't dispositive.
