Bee: Zac – Interview - looking down 1jeezbee on September 12th, 2011 08:47 pm (UTC)
Once promo comes around and journos ask for questions, we should tell them to ask which pieces of the wardrobe he kept. There are some real gems in there (ofc all 1969 appropriate but still funny) :P

A smiling Zac Efron on set is always nice to see. Also, this outfit really reminds me of the outfits in the movie Catch Me If You Can. I think this is my favorite outfit he's worn for the movie, so far.

good outfits
this movie is so interesting, i read the book and I can't wait to see it on a big screen. I like all this media attention on the film, and honestly I expect much from the whole cast and from Lee Daniels ( I loved precious, The Woodsman and Shadowboxer).
i think it is a very important opportunity for zac to be part of this project, his role is intensive, drammatic and very "mature".
One of the scene that have show me how much his talent in drammatic roles is about CSC, in particular when he meets the paramedic (Ray Liotta) at the coffee. Apart Liotta, always amazing, I find that zac is very convincing in the role;I love the awkward silence, staring into space, and the ease with which he asks the paramedic if he is sick...as if death was his only friend.
It is a touching scene, but what strikes me is the immobility of the body of Zac, his absolute inner silence...I would like a body that suffers. Wonderful

Re: good outfits
I'm so excited about this movie after reading the book, too. I was worried that Zac's character might not be very important in the main plot, just like the way his character in Me and Orson Welles was used as a device to show off Orson Welles. But I was glad to find out his character is not only important but also very interesting. Actually the story is mostly about him and his brother. I recall Lee Daniels saying they were aiming for a summer release, but nothing is garanteed. Hopefully it opens before The Lucky One does.

Re: good outfits
I'm agree with you,a very fascinating book. Speaking of the strange relationship between Jack and Charlotte, the strong attraction that he has for her and the strong words used for to telling the story; sometimes I wonder how this relationship between Jack and Charlotte will be represented and interpreted by nichole and zac on the big screen.
knowing the way of filming of Daniels I suppose that he will play much on this element of the plot.
But I think there will be many differences in the film than the book,as always the books are different than movies, but this doesn't means that it wrong, indeed could be an interesting way to see the whole story from another angle.
anyway we hope that The paperboy come out before TLO, and actually I look forward to more the movie of Daniels.

Re: good outfits
After I read the book, I was thoroughly excited for Zac's character and the rest of the cast. Jack is an interesting character in TPB.

"anyway we hope that The paperboy come out before TLO"

Yes please.

But I see a coming conflict. A late-summer release would be natural for TPB, i.e., about a year after filming. But TLO is already scheduled for August 2012. Would anyone release two Zac movies within weeks of each other? Or would the Powers That Be not consider TPB a Zac movie and ignore the issue? Or will there be a game of chicken, so see who changes their release date first?

I doubt the movie will come before August. First of all, it's to be acquired by a US distributor (probably Lionsgate due to its long relation with Lee Daniels) and I'm almost sure Daniels will get the festival route with TPB. I mean, he did it with Precious.

Exciting! I've only been on one legit film set (and it wasn't even a movie, it was for a music video that took 23hrs to shoot) but couldn't imagine being on set all day. Trailers are nice enough, but I never appreciated how extremely LONG one set day, let alone a full feature film could be.

That being said, I always applaud his friendly attitude toward cast, crew, fans and the public especially after/during filming.

I hope Zac's having fun, working hard, taking care of himself and learning a lot.

i just want to say you that i liked much your post and in particular your thought about Zac's personality...I adore zac for this reason and not only beacuse he is hot, beautiful and talent...

He seems to be a humble person and a good person ...
not easy to find the humility in the Hollywood star system

I hope Zac's having fun, working hard, taking care of himself and learning a lot.

"Exciting!"

What amuses/bemuses me are all the candid photos on location, in which no one seems to be doing anything, just standing around, facing this way or that. Filming is so time-consuming. You've got 30 technical people standing around while two adjust light reflectors and one powders the actor's nose for the next take. After 10, 20, 30 minutes of this, the director calls "action" and they film a 30-second bit from a different angle. Then they do it several more times, just to make sure. No wonder a shooting day last 12-14 hours. And it's 95 degrees F (30 C) in the shade. How do these people stay sane?

It's just exciting to see the film progressing and Zac in costume or alongside other cast mates, since no, the photos themselves don't have high action or detailed plot depicted.

Filming is so painfully time consuming and unglamorous. Hats off to the cast and crew- I for sure wouldn't have the patience (even less so in 95 degree heat)!

These clothes, I can't even...I'm sure he's just itching to take some of them home lol.

I do hope we get some Zac pics on the last day tomorrow.

"I'm sure he's just itching to take some of them home"

I'm sure he is just itching to take some of them off. He looks just precious in this outfit; unfortunately, he has never cared much about his appearance.
