I just hope his character is not annoying.

I don't think so. The sub-plot and all the clips indicate he's the can-do guy who helps the Michelle character fulfill all her past year's New Year's resolutions.

What I like about this project is that he's not the lead, and a lot of people are going to see this comedy because of all the actors on the roster, not because of (maybe even in spite of) Zac Efron's role. He's going to get a lot of exposure to people who wouldn't go to see a "Zac Efron movie."

That's also what I like about this summer's two big projects - he's playing major roles but as someone's son or someone's brother. There's more than one name above the title. I think (hope) that New Year's Eve will pop the cherry for a lot of those who are prejudiced about that singing dancing teen idol, a they'll decide to see these coming films because hey, he wasn't that bad in NYE.

I know all that and I think his storyline sounds like one of the more promising in this movie.

But I've made the mistake to watch Valentine's Day recently in order to "prepare" myself and I've never seen a movie with so many annoying characters at once... and NYE is basically the same thing only on a different holiday. Hence my concern that this movie will have an equally high number of annoying characters. And while I think his plot could be cute, the videos have done nothing to convince me otherwise so far. I hope this will change as the movie comes closer.

More BTS for NYE + a little tiny Zac interview.
I'm really anticipating this movie and the interviews Zac has to do (even if its only a few) when it gets closer to December.

IDGAF, I'm still excited to see Zac in this. Valentine's Day was all right (save for the promise of BCoop and getting something like 4 MINUTES of him).
