John Cusack cast in 'The Paperboy'
From Jeff Sneider at Variety:
John Cusack is set to co-star in Lee Daniels' "The Paperboy," an indie drama that marks the helmer's follow-up to "Precious."

Ensemble pic stars Zac Efron, while Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey are also in advanced negotiations for key roles.

Cusack replaces Tobey Maguire... [He] will play the condemned prisoner.

That helps clear up that Tobey was cast as Hillary Van Wetter. Though I'm a little wut? at Matt reportedly still being in advanced negotiations at this point. But who knows?

This is turning into an all-star cast movie, if only they could finalize everyone's schedules which is what I would guess the "advanced negotiations" with Matthew and Nicole are for.

Supposedly three weeks from starting and still in advanced negotiations with Matthew...? Odd.

But yay for John Cusack!

I much prefer John to Tobey, so YAY! And I can totally see him as a death row inmate.

I say YAY for Cusack also. My favorite of his films is Martian Child. Plus, he'll be coming home to film, since he was born in the area. But, he is like 9 years older than Tobey. Doesn't that matter?
