Help me decide if Zac's tip is good or bad

Poll #1558055 What is your opinion on Zac Efron's 2 movie ticket tip

Zac Efron's 2 movie ticket tip?

I like movies :)
3(5.0%)
I'd like them more if Zac was coming with... I'd even watch Avatar.... again.
4(6.7%)
Cash is better/Movie tickets don't pay the rent
7(11.7%)
Slightly Douchey/Cheap Bastard (they probably don't even cover 3D)
4(6.7%)
Highly dubious because who carries movie tickets around on them all the time but not cash
6(10.0%)
Just breathing the same air as Zac should be enough
11(18.3%)

eta: I should add that we've heard from other people before (#1, #2) that he's tipped really well so his douchiness probably doesn't usually extend to this, lol.

I NEVER have cash on me so I can relate, but then again I'm not a millionaire so....
JacobJunior: snlstarspicegalaxy on April 30th, 2010 01:45 am (UTC)
I never carry cash on me cuz I always end up spending it immediately. I'm a debit boy, I'm more careful with it.
vilain_garcon on April 29th, 2010 09:44 pm (UTC)
i agree with every thing except slightly douchey because i know what it's like to not carry around cash... but he does sound slightly cheap ngl.

though i think it's sweet he even tipped. rarely do people in l.a. tip unless they're trying to show how much money they have.

I should've added somewhere that he's been said to tip extremely well at restaurants, so this shouldn't really reflect on him that way.

He just sucks at carrying cash (if this is true). Me too, I hardly ever have cash. But I don't use valet all the time either so... lol.
nahbruhbeeonkaa on April 29th, 2010 09:53 pm (UTC)
I rarely carry around cash, so I can't even throw shade for that, but I always make it a point to withdraw like $20 when I go out to eat for the simple fact of leaving a tip lol.

But valet, dude? Cash, need it.

LOL WHAT A DOUCHE <3

We're in recession man, be nice. But I get not carrying around cash, but movie tickets... lmao. At least a dub, some singles, a ten. Not like he has to carry racks in his wallet.

I think its kinda cute lol. Yeah after three days he should just take out some cash but at least he left the tickets.

TIPPING IS NOT MANDATORY.

I had a friend in college who never tipped, and it was one of those situations where I always felt so bad that I'd sneak and extra tip to compensate for her lack of it. So, while not mandatory it's pretty shitty when you don't. In most service jobs your real income comes from tips.

aww, he does usually tip well supposedly.
shadow830shadow830 on April 30th, 2010 12:08 am (UTC)
The value of 2 movie tickets probably averages around $25 (at least) - so when you look at it that way - it's not such a bad tip.

I don't carry cash because I use me debit card for everything. The other day my daughter lost a tooth and I told her that the Tooth Fairy didn't have any cash so she wouldn't be coming LOL

That would be like the best tip ever for me because I'd totally use the passes.

I hate carrying cash so I can't fault him for not having any. Just because he's Zac Efron doesn't mean you should expect a huge tip. I mean really...
wild at heartjukeboxblues on April 30th, 2010 01:45 am (UTC)
that's actually a pretty big fucking tip for a VALET driver. movie tickets in california are like $10 each. so it's $20 bucks. who cares if it's not in cash, go see a freaking movie. I'LL TAKE THEM.
hlloyd04 on April 30th, 2010 01:53 am (UTC)
I'm glad that he's traditionally known as a good tipper, bc ngl, as a person who waitressed throughout college to pay the bills nothing sucks more than not getting tips. Or getting some bs movie tickets/meal tickets/gift certificates/whatever.

And valets do get the majority of their income from tips, and when you choose to valet park more often than not it's a good idea to have cash on hand.

And tipping may not be mandatory, but it's def in good taste.

a. first of all, um, LOVE the new theme!

2. wow, seems like the votes are across the board on this one!

III. FINALLY saw MAOW last night, my 16-year-old cousin and i both thought it was quite well done. i was worried some things wouldn't have closure (like many movies do... *sigh*), but i wasn't left with any questions at the end, really. i LOVED the scene where he stood up to Orson. I am looking forward to more dramatic acting from Zac! :)
jessica3311: Bubblesjessica3311 on April 30th, 2010 03:46 am (UTC)
Hey at least he gave him something & you think of the price of 2 movie tickets its at least $20. Only Zac would NOT have cash but have 2 movie tickets on him...<3 it!
Daniheartunprepared on April 30th, 2010 04:44 am (UTC)
Tipping culture fascinates me. If this is something worth causing controversy, I suspect I'm going to need to be taught etiquette before coming over. Then again, I can't say I'll be using valet or dining at 'real' restaurants either.

If the valet has an issue with the movie tickets, then I'll swap him the ticket for some cash and then I'll sleep with the ticket under my pillow. Win/win :D

Booh-ooh that guy meets Zac, gets two movie tix and he complains?! Maybe he'd like to clean loos instead. Is someone in need of attention?
