More Steveston filming info
From colfer (TY :D)

my friend clooneys commented me with this today:

So, my boss, Beth, own three stores: two are toy stores and one is a baby boutique (that's the one I work at!). So one of her toy stores has been closed for the past three days and I had no idea why. I just found out last night that Zac Efron has been shooting his movie there! One of the girls that works there, Kelly, got paid $28 an hour to be there and teach him how to use the till and everything! She said he was super friendly and an all around nice guy. You were the first person I thought of when I found out last night so I just thought I would share!

Also twitter fanpic from last night ~1am:

I think I'm missing something? What is wrong with doing either of those signs?

I'll try to answer it with a question: How many established and respected actors do you know who make the peace and/or shaka sign on the red carpet?

People "known" doing it are Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus (there are probably more but those two come to my mind first) and I don't want him in the same group. JMHO.

Personally I also find it obnoxious and annoying but that's probably my age showing.

Personally, I don't think it means anything other than he's of a somewhat surfer-dude cultural mind-set. The established and respected actors at this point are mostly not from this kind of background/age group, and so I think the absence of this is more circumstantial than substantive. I don't think the use of this automatically lumps him in with LL and Miley, since his behaviour and talent is dramatically and consistently different from theirs.

I hope the day comes when Zac is a respected actor, but I'd prefer he do it in such a way as to preserve his individual character and uniqueness. In the way that Bogart is different from Pacino, is different from Depp, is different from Di Caprio - Zac's generation will be something else anyway.

I've also never seen it as anything more than a preferential thing, and who am I to fault him for favoring a particular hand signage? *shrug*

And that analogy brought me back to the SAT's. (Admittedly, yours was a good one that I actually understood, haha)
