Michelle thinks Zac is hot and a hot dancer - 03.28.08

“I just watch him [dance] and mope,” she said — and not because she’s pining for a different sort of action. As if! He’s playing her dad (even though she’s two years older), and just to rub it in, she called him “Dad” on set. “Anything we did, father/daughter-wise,” Trachtenberg told us, “I’d tease him, ‘I’m older than you! You’re not really my father,’ while he’s trying to tell me what to do.” But she understands that the girls love Zac, and she doesn’t fault them for that: “If you think he’s hot, rock on. He is.”

Reportedly: Z and V text/email/call to keep in touch - 03.28.08

How do Vanessa Hudgens, who filmed the comedy "Will" in Austin, Texas, and Zac Efron, who shot "Me and Orson Welles" in England, stay close and deal with the distance that the pair have been handed due to work. They pretty much handle it like everyone else, they use long distance and according to Us Weekly some very long phone calls.

"Their bill is huge, but they don’t care,” a source close to the duo, who will be reuniting soon to begin work to film High Scholl Musical 3, tells the weekly entertainment magazine. “Vanessa needed to hear his voice." The source said that the duo Hudgens, 19, and Efron, 20, also e-mailed each other constantly.

That of course flies in the face of the recent break up reports that have surrounded the couple. A report from Entertainment Wise in the UK claims that Zac is so fed up with all of the questions surrounding the pair (they desperately try to keep their private life private0 that he is now refusing to talk about Vanessa.

The reason, he doesn't want his words to come back and bite him if they break up. "I want to keep that private - sorry. All I can say is that Vanessa's a great girl. And I'd hate to say more about it because by the time this interview comes out, it may or may or may not be relevant."

Not rumor: HSM4 already being penned - 4.08.08

By Paul J. Gough

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Even before "High School Musical 3" hits movie theaters in the fall, Disney Channel is starting work on "High School Musical 4."

"We are writing 'High School Musical 4,' " Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross said Tuesday after a presentation at a midtown Manhattan recording studio. It's likely to be a TV movie unlike "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," though that could change. Filming begins in two weeks in Utah.

There's no word on whether the cast and behind-the-scenes talent will gather again for "HSM4," though some characters introduced in the third go-round likely will star in the fourth.

"Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not," Ross said. "Will we have some of them? I hope so."

Even for a channel that has huge properties in "Hannah Montana" and "The Cheetah Girls," among others, "HSM" is big business. The second TV movie shattered cable TV records last summer with a premiere watched by 18.6 million viewers and it has been a hit internationally as well. It boosted Disney Channel to the No. 1 position among cable networks in primetime in 2007.

Ross said that after the original "HSM," he went to Disney Channel entertainment president Gary Marsh and asked whether there was "a new story to tell" in the saga that launched the careers of Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu.

"We have learned that just putting a number next to a title is a very old idea," Ross said. "We have to have a new story."

Marsh answered affirmatively with "HSM2" and later, "HSM3." Now Marsh and Ross are confident that the "HSM4" script is going well.

Read that quote on the cast to mean: NO ZAC!

Zac is jealous the rest of the cast is already in Utah for HSM3 - 04.08.08

BREAKING NEWS: Disney says they are "writing HSM4" and believe it will be on Disney Channel (not in theaters) and they believe there will be a Camp Rock 2 and a fourth Cheetah movie. Zac came to their attention in 2004 when he auditioned for a DC pilot (and didn’t get the part), Selena was cast in three pilots that competed against each other (and of course the winner was her smash Wizards of Waverly Place) and Zac just saw one of the executives in London (where he’s filming) and said he’s so jealous that everyone else is already in Utah filming HSM3—he "can’t wait" to go in two weeks.
