This is an important message so it gets a separate post. To all those who didn't believe him the first three hundred times he said he doesn't use social networking sites, Zac has laid it out there again.

From People:

He may be the hunk of the moment, but Zac Efron isn't necessarily one to indulge in the latest technology of the day.

"I don't have a Twitter, a MySpace or a Facebook or anything like that," says the star of the new comedy 17 Again. "I kind of value in people not knowing where I am or what I'm doing."

To demonstrate his take on the typical posting, he says with a laugh: "I’m on the toilet. Still on the toilet. Guys, dot-dot-dot, out of TP. Still on the toilet."

On the screen, in 17 Again, Efron, 21, plays Mike O’Donnell – a high school hotshot who had it all, but gives it all up to settle down with his then-girlfriend.

Twenty years later, his life is falling apart, and O'Donnell would give anything to go back and do it all over again – and, after a fall into the river that sends him back through time, he does. Only things are different now.

In fact, Efron, who was a teen not so long ago, says, "It's hard when you're a teenager because everything is heightened." Speaking at a Los Angeles press junket for the movie, he recalled, "Just talking to a girl feels harder than anything I have done in the last couple years."

His advice to teens about life?

"Take it seriously, but have a sense of humor about it. A sense of humor is one of the most valuable tools you can have as a teenager. That's one thing that helped me early on through life and high school was to remember to laugh at how ridiculous life was.”
